The swap: Sweet potato toast instead of bread
To get fit for her wedding, a blogger behind Carrots ’n’ Cake knew she indispensable to quell her carb cravings, generally during breakfast time. “I was eating a lot of English muffins, bread, and toast,” she says. So during her morning meal, she switched to rice cakes or nutrient-dense honeyed potato “toast”—and combined protein and healthy fats (think bulb butter and banana slices, or an egg, avocado, and tomato) that would keep her energized compartment lunch. “When we eat something colorful initial thing in a morning, it helps me stay on track,” says Haupert.
